bad news

about 4 weeks ago i moved in with my new roomies. two of which are sisters and the other is one of the sisters best friend. i love it. i kinda feel like i live in a sorority house. i get along with the girls great and although i thought i wouldn't i immediately felt "at home". Upon moving in i was told that the mother of the two sisters owns the home along with her business partner and the sisters occupy the home and rent out the extra rooms. Within these past few weeks there have been some bumps in the road but i figured..hey..this is new for me i need some adjusting. so, i will explain the "interruptions" in order of occurence:

1) the very first night i moved in one of my roomies told me that her brother was going to be staying here for a little while because he was in transition from one school to another. the kid's 15 he has his own room on the other side of the house so i said to myself "no problem, he won't really be in my way".

2)after being here for about 4 days i realize that my roomies mother has been sleeping on the couch every night. I don't mention it..after all it's not my house. My roomie explains to me that the mother and her boyfriend got into a huge fight..within a week he kicked her out (of the home they own together) and has since moved someone else in. My roomie tells me her mom will be here for two weeks while she finds an apartment in a neighborhood close by. Meanwhile, i start chatting with the mom one day and she tells me that she will be staying here for TWO months while she looks to buy a home. ok, again no biggie. kinda annoying as i didn't know i would be living with so many people but ok whatever.

3) the VERY night that i move in i'm told that our water heater is broken. great. so what does that mean? all 6 of us will be using the shower on the other side of the house. i've never shared a bathroom with one person let alone 5. i was told that the water heater would be replaced that weekend. it is now 4 weeks and 1 day later and we're still showering in one bathroom.

4)i was making a sandwich the other day and notice a letter on the counter right next to me. for some reason the word FORECLOSURE just jumped at me. i immediately dropped my sandwich grabbed the letter and went to my room. sure enough...the later states that the house i'm now living in is in FORECLOSURE and the amount past due is $14,000+. I immediately imagined coming home to a huge padlock on my door not being able to retrieve my belongings. i'm pissed, i'm irritated. i don't wanna call my dad because he sensed some shadiness from the beginning and i really don't want to hear i told you say right now. i think to myself...ok what am i gonna do? how do i tell them that i know without telling them that i read the mail? so, i come up with a plan...i told a white lie (i've already asked the Lord for his forgiveness). I told one of the sisters that while i was waiting around for the cable company i spotted a man looking in her window and mine (which is true, this really did happen)this is where the lie comes to play,i told her that he knocked on the door and told me he wanted to check the house out as it was in FORECLOSURE. i asked her if i should start looking for a place and you know what she tells me? she tells me that her mom's business partner doesn't want to have anything to do with the house so he's not paying the mortgage and her sister is going to re-buy the house so i have no need to worry. ummmmm excuse me...i may be young but does it look like i have idiot written across my forehead? i'm a smart cookie i'm smart enough to know that's not how it works. i'm just really irritated. although my least is month to month..i did think i'd be here longer. i recall when i first moved in i found a note from the previous tenants that said something about when you get the money please mail my deposit to this address..blah blah blah..so i'm now afraid that i'll have a problem getting my deposit back and these are all just issues i do not feel like dealing with..really...i don't. but...i have faith in the Lord and i know this is part of his amazingly divine plan for my life. i'm learning alot and more than anything i'm becoming extremely independent and much much more smarter. i do need to be more aware of things and if something doesn't feel right...it's probably not right. i never know when it's my women's intuition and when it's just me worrying way to much...ahhhh...i just had to get that all out. that's it from me today. i saw this quote today on someones blog and it's very fitting right now....

Thank God for what you have. Trust God for what you need.

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to hear of this situation! I can't even imagine the stress level you must have now. I'll be praying for you to really have wisdom and guidance about the best place for you and some peace for you for the present time. As for the bad feeling you had before, I have learned the hard way to always listen to your gut even if it doesn't seem to make sense. I can't tell you how many headaches I could have prevented for myself had I just trusted the uneasy feelings I had about things sometimes.

Oh my gosh, Faith. That sounds horrific. I am so sorry that you having to deal with and additional stress. I hope it all works out and if you do have to move out, that the Lord provides a wonderful home. I hope everything works out.
