i'm kinda pissed

i'm really confused and if i'm missing something, please pardon my ignorance. this morning Senator Obama gave a speech regarding the behavior/comments/beliefs of his Pastor Jeremiah Wright and racism in general. what prompted this speech was the recent buzz of the comments made by Pastor Wright.

forgive me for not understanding why it is important for Senator Obama to give a speech regarding the remarks & beliefs of his pastor. correct me if i'm wrong; it is Barack Obama who is running for president, right? we have all DISAGREED with someone; whether it be a parent, teacher, spouse, friend, co-worker...whomever. we've all been there. and sometimes we may even disagree with the beliefs of our pastor [i personally have never disagreed with mine :)] why is it that this man has to address the nation about things that he never said?! i just don't get it. yes, the things Pastor Wright said were disturbing and yes he lacked good judgment by saying these things but let's get one thing straight; he is a Pastor, he has large congregation, the people that come to his church WANT to hear him preach. They are aware that they may not always hear what they like but ministering is his calling and that is what he does. No one is forced to attend any of his services. Those who are in attendance are there simply because they want to be there and they feel as though they SHOULD be there. In my opinion he can say whatever he wants to his congregation. I'm pretty sure upon making the remarks he made, he had no idea that they would be used against Senator Obama. i think people should be more concerned if Senator Obama didn't belong to a church, if he didn't have a close relationship with his Pastor, if he NEVER attended church. instead, we lay the burden of what his Pastor said at his feet. We have governors running prostitution rings yet we find it necessary to attack a presidential candidate because of comments his Pastor made? give me a break. people need to really get their minds right. enough is enough. can the man just run for President?
